I am fully in the awkward stage of pregnancy right now when regular clothes barely fit yet maternity clothes are still too big. Getting dressed is nearly as complicated as a toddler’s daily emotional roller coaster. I’ve been focusing on a few staples that fit for the moment and are friendlier to my growing belly, like these pixie pants with an elastic waist (such a life saver!), bright scarves, and a jacket to finish the look. This ensemble has quickly become one of my favorite early pregnancy outfits and is made up entirely of non-maternity items. This jacket is the perfect piece for in between seasons; I wore it nonstop this past fall and predict the spring will be no different. I am taking full advantage of the hand-on-the-belly pose, too, just to point out the obvious: this belly is not all extra doughnuts.
