This past weekend, we loaded up for a day in the outdoors to go hiking and berry picking. It was probably the last weekend in Anchorage we could get away with wearing shorts as the leaves are already turning a little gold and there was a perceptible crisp in the air. Even with the chill, Waverley surprisingly demonstrated a true love for picking berries! She had a blast filling her mini bucket with berries and promptly dumping them all out. Then she’d come over to my or Nate’s bucket and grab a handful for a little snack. Needless to say, we didn’t end up bringing many berries home with us! However, we did have a blast being outside and taking in the magical views up above the city. It was the kind of day I see what the fuss of Alaska is all about.
I honestly try to not dress Waverley and I too similarly, but I truly could not help myself here! We both get so much use out of Hunter Boots living in Alaska that I had to indulge in coordinating pink boots when shopping for our fall and winter gear. At least they are different shades of pink, right? I love my soft matte pink pair for grownups and Waverley’s glossy bright pink pair for babes.
